All Tehan Threads pieces are designed and made in Melbourne by local makers. Our collections include a mix of one-of-a-kind, made-to-order, custom orders and small-batch pieces.

We use a range of fabrics—many of which are vintage or deadstock—so textures, finishes, and feel may vary slightly between garments. Some materials are delicate and require extra care.

Many designs include adjustable features such as elastic, ties, or wrap closures, offering flexibility in fit. Full fabric descriptions and fit notes are included with each product listing.

Every piece is crafted with care and intention, focusing on quality and individuality. Because of the handmade nature of our garments, slight variations may occur—these are part of what makes each piece special.

 

Care – Hand wash only. Most pieces are made from delicate deadstock lace or vintage fabrics and should be washed gently to preserve their quality, especially for our handmade, one-of-a-kind designs

Fabrics- Every piece of fabric is vintage or second hand, aligning with the principals of circular fashion. Products have a longer lifespan, materials are reused and waste isn't ending up in landfill. 

Our commitment to quality means selecting the finest vintage fabrics- some may contain stains and imperfections but this doesn't make them any less perfect.
